My Karz to Himesh Reshammiya..

Once upon a time a Dhobi used to have a dog and a donkey. The dog always used
to protect its owner and his house by barking whenever a thief comes around.
The donkey used to help him carry all the clothes on his way to Dhobi ghat.
The Dhobi used to look after two of animals with equal amount of affection as both
of them used to help him lead his life with ease in one or the other way.
One fine night, the dog was dozing off when a thief was trying to enter the house.
The donkey, who was watching all this, brayed loudly to wake up its owner.
The owner got up thinking that the donkey was making unnecessary noise and disturbed him while asleep and beat the donkey to death.

I remember the above story from my childhood days whose morale is that everybody should
do whatever they should be doing.

This was one of the things that came to my mind when I was watching the latest venture of Mr.Topi Wallah, who sings only with his
Nostrils, Himesh Reshammiya,Karz. KARZ, the story which revolves around the concept of reincarnation, the indianized
version of the american film 'The Reincarnation of Peter Proud', was a big hit by Subhash Ghai in the 80's/
After so many years, when someone is remaking such a great film, there will be expectations.
Moreover, there will be comparisons. I wasn't expecting Himesh to do a great job, nor was I interested
in watching the movie.

One of my roomies said that he'd found a review which says that the movie is just awesome.
It didn't interest me a bit. But I just went into watch the movie, that too after watching
'Body Of Lies'. Probably I had some 'KARZ' in my last birth to that I had to pay back to Himesh.
The movie had an array of actors who scored zero in acting, dancing, singing and also in
looks. Urmila looked sensuous in some scenes. But, in lot of scenes you could just see the wrinkles on her face, though she'd maintained her rangeela badan.
The new heroine looked more like a doll with no expressions at all. She wasn't even beautiful, compared to today's bollywood standards.
Throughout the movie, I felt Himesh was taking his revenge on people 'saalon..meri gane nahi sunenge?? Lo..ek hi picture mein
mere sab gane pack kar diya..Ab dekho aur maro.. meri Karz chukao..'. This wasn't my feeling alone.
Everyone sitting in the hall must have felt the same thing, I'm sure.

This movie had left me wonder why do people do such things? Why can't Himesh just compose music,
which atleast is appreicted by some, if not all, bollywood music lovers?
Why does a software company owner like Ramana Gogula starts harrassing people with his music?

I guess it's just a way of telling others how unsatisfied they are with their life.
I guess thats what happens to everyone if they do things that they don't enjoy doing.
I don't know there could be many reasons behind trying out new things.
But many times, you will know if the new path is apt for you right after you try it.

But why torture people with so many attempts?

I cut the topic here before I torture people just like Himesh, the topi wallah.

But if you read some review which tells you that Karz is good, just screw the reviewer, like the ones mentioned below:
